Buskers are the stuff of street photography

Busker on the Bridge from an exhibition at Harvey's Wine Cellar, Bristol.

I love taking pictures of buskers. Street photography wouldn't be the same without them. I find them fascinating, courageous people.  Laying themselves bare for the world to see and judge their act.  Bristol is teeming with street performers. It gives vibrancy, life and energy to a city. Most buskers perform at the harbour side.  There is always someone to make you stop and watch as you pass by.

But traditionally there have always been buskers in the underpass at The Bear Pit in Bristol.
